The world is heading for the Apocalypse where the Asended and Fallen shall fight to determine the fate of the universe. Choose if you try to Stop the Apocalypse or if you try to Start it.
STOP/START the Apocalypse is a solo journaling Carta game but can be used to facilitate apocalypse games played by larger groups. The game is played in 3 phases: The Beginning, The End, and The Epilogue. Each phase will have different goals depending on whether you STOP or START the Apocalypse.
To play the game you will need: a tarot deck, a marker (like a coin or a rock), and a method to take notes.
Content Warning: As much as the “Apocalypse” is a work of fiction, this game contains real examples of how our world is tearing itself apart. Please look at the examples of in-game themes and proceed with healthy boundaries in mind. You always have the option to alter/opt out of game mechanics.
War: propaganda, nationalism, military force
Famine: class divide, starvation, corporate greed
Pollution: global warming, sickness, scarce resources
Death: bigotry, murder, execution, suicide
