You are a plush toy that has just been gifted to a child. The child has been having nightmares and you have been recruited to help put an end to them. While you may have just met this child, you do feel an immediate connection. You are their Protector and they are Your Child.

The Plush Protector is a solo journaling RPG where you play as a plush toy that is able to transport yourself into the dream world of Your Child. In the dream world you will face many challenges, and it is up to you to help Your Child overcome them. Along the way you will gain Bravery and eventually be able to defeat the nightmares!

To play this game you will need a 20-sided die (d20), a 6-sided die (d6), and something to record your journey. (Ex: pen + paper)

Content Warning: The theme of this game being "nightmares" lends itself to creating scenarios that may be troubling and/or you may not be ready to face yet.
Proceed with healthy boundaries and make sure to check in with yourself.

Very wholesome hack of the Second Guess System. It was a lot of fun to play through! I played as one of my friend's protector plushies. I'll be sending them a copy of the game through. Will definitely play again!

An amazing hack of the Second Guess System that was so heartwarming and inspiring that it actually encouraged me to create my own game: Hang In There, Little One. If you're into solo journaling games, I highly recommend you give The Plush Protector a try!

The fact that The Plush Protector inspired you to make your own game makes me unbelievably happy! Thank you so much for this!

Hi, I met your game recently by a facebook user in the Solo RPG community and I loved your game, but I decided to do a free translation of it to Portuguese, if you want to see the clean file I'll leave a link here.
